The fabulous home of John Winn, owner of Four Winns Yachts, rests on the shores of Round Lake in Charlevoix, Mich.

The S.S. Magoo, used in the Disney film Mr. Magoo starring Leslie Nielsen, was purchased by John Winn after he saw it for sale in a boating magazine.

The boathouse chart room offers a luxurious space for guests to relax. This one features shuffleboard, video games, a bowling alley and full bar.

Million Dollar Foyer

The Acqua Liana Estate, in Palm Beach County, Fla., is located on a narrow strip of beach between the Atlantic Ocean and Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway.

Acqua Liana’s spectacular entryway, seen here through windows at the rear of the home, features a sweeping glass staircase and specially designed water walls.

Distinctive features of Acqua Liana’s one-of-a-kind foyer include a suspended glass sculpture and visually striking “water floors” — with water flowing beneath clear glass.

Acqua Liana is a Tahitian expression meaning “water flower.”

Pools, aquatic gardens, fountains and waterfalls are pervasive themes throughout this oceanfront estate.

Million Dollar Garage

Villa Rosa Rugosa, located in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., has a garage that can accommodate up to 8 cars — or double as a ballroom.

Million Dollar Garage

The Paseo Elegancia garage was modeled after the Salone Maggiore of the Scuola Grande Di San Rocco in Venice, Italy.

Twenty-two artists were hired to create original Renaissance-style artwork on the walls of the garage.

This is one of 17 original oil paintings that were commissioned and painted on site for display in the garage at the Villa Rosa Rugosa.

A House That Slides

The Sliding House in Suffolk, England, was designed with walls and roof that move to uncover a living space offering complete panoramic views of the countryside surroundings.

A House That Slides

Once uncovered, the glass structure of the living area allows for maximum enjoyment of the English country surroundings.

Million Dollar Pool

The Kitchukov family of Gilbert, Ariz., wanted a pool worthy of a Las Vegas resort, so that’s exactly what they built. This one, far larger than most hotel pools, features waterfalls, palm trees, custom lighting and flaming fountains.

Million Dollar Pool

The pool’s waterfalls, flame effects and surrounding landscaping were inspired by the pool at the Mirage Casino.

Million Dollar Pool

The pool area features an outdoor kitchen and five-hole putting green. The Kitchukov family refers to this as their personal oasis.

The palm trees surrounding the pool had to be brought in by crane and lifted over the house and into the backyard. The boulders used to create the waterfalls are larger than Cadillacs.
